Wanda Gatlin Hicks
Wanda Gatlin Hicks, 82, of Lynnville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019. She was born December 5, 1936, in Ardmore, Limestone County, Alabama, to Ida Mable White and Walter DeWitt Gatlin.
She is survived by her three daughters, Teresa Lynn Hicks Nilsen (Maks) of Floro, Norway; Laura Louise Hicks d'Esperonnat (Theirry) of Laudun, France; and Clair Jane Hicks (Giordano Biondani) of Evergreen, Colorado; grandchildren, Merissa Lynn Steindal, Audrey Louise d'Esperonnat, Damien Julian d'Esperonnat and Marc Olivier d'Esperonnat; great-grandchildren, Thea Louise Strømsøy, Thale Sofi Strømsøy and Oline Steindal Korneliussen; and step-grandchild Katerina Annemarie Biondani.
As a young woman, Wanda was an exceptional student. She attended Mississippi State University. Later, she became a missionary in Nigeria and eventually excelled as a member of the publishing industry.
Wanda moved to Valley Home Farm in 1981 and finally settled into her home.
A celebration of life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Valley Home Farm, 1452 Fry Branch Road, Lynnville, Tennessee.
