Sarah "Betty" Blackwell Johnson, 84, of Athens passed away Wednesday. Betty was a member of Harvest Church of Christ, was a former member of the Pilot Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Damin and Anna T. Blackwell.
She is survived by her children, Ron Birdwell and daughter-in-love Cindy Birdwell, Kenny Birdwell and Belinda Royer; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Decatur City Cemetery.
