Elkmont - Robert L. Melvin of Elkmont passed away December 28, 2025, at home in Elkmont, Alabama. He was born in Fairbury, Nebraska on October 1, 1940.
He retired from the Air Force and Air National Guard. He worked for the Post office at Moorhead, Minnesota and Athens, Alabama. Survivors include his wife, Mert (Myrna), three sons, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church, 660 Gillespie Road, Madison, Alabama, with full military honors. Memorials may be made to the Limestone County Veterans Museum.
