Athens, Alabama - Robert "Dickie" Jackson, 72 of Anderson, was born February 18, 1953, to John W. "Billy" Jackson and Betty Williams Jackson in Athens, Alabama. He passed away Friday June 6, 2025, at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, Florida.

He is survived by his wife: Diane Jackson, son: Clint Jackson (Marla), daughter: Brigitte Yarbrough (Will), 4 grandchildren: Chloe Jackson, Ella Yarbrough, Emry Yarbrough, and Reese Martin, 2 sisters: LeAnn Jackson and Cindy Amerson (Mitchell), and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Melissa Germann, and brother: Larry Jackson.

He was a beloved husband, father, and Pawpaw, a kind soul who enjoyed baking, gardening, watching volleyball, and feeding his redbird. He found joy and beauty in the simple things of life and had an unfailing dedication to his family and those for whom he cared.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m., with Terry Lamar officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery following the service.

Pallbearers will be Bussy Smith, Adam McCurry, Rick Carter, Jon Long, Matthew McMasters, and Sean Davis.
