Rogersville - Marvelene "Susie" Wright, 88, of Athens, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at her residence.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 15 from 12 - 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow in the chapel. Burial will be at Dement Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jake Tarpley, Mike Barron, Liam Fox, Jason Fox, Rob Chamberlain and Mark Owens.

Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Lillie Mae Adams; husband, Lynn Wright; grandson, Jackson Sledge; siblings, Marjorie Lee Meals, Marshall Adams and Mutt Adams. She is survived by her children, Phillip (Patricia) Wright and Vickie (Milton) Sledge; grandchildren, Philana (Mark) Owens, Layla (Jason) Fox and Marah Sledge; great grandchildren, Liam Fox, Clementine Fox, Jaden (Jackson) Hinchman, Aimy Lynn Owens, Raylan Sledge and Tillie Sledge; great-great grandchild, Aubrey Hinchman; siblings, Maurice Collins and Margaret Ann Tennison.
