Lester, Alabama - Marilyn Ann Hester, age 85, of Lester, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, December 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 10, 1940, in Peoria, Illinois, to Earl and Mary Keele - Donley.

Marilyn, in her youth, won an award from Warren's Airforce Base for the prettiest girlfriend. She dedicated her life to her children Kathleen and Kevin while working as an office manager at their family's business, Computer Printer Resources. In her later years, Marilyn became an avid antique collector who loved her plants and bears. Warren and Marilyn moved to Lester, Alabama from Peoria, Illinois in 2019 to enjoy spending time with their now grown grandchildren and great grand-children.

Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her husband, Warren Wesley Hester. She leaves behind her brother Charles Donnely, daughter, Kathleen Morgan (Veronica Meugniot), as well as her son, Kevin Hester (Robin). Marilyn's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jennifer Morgan, Candice (Benjamin Randall), Korey Hester, and Jessica (Matt Syme). She is also survived by several beloved great-grandchildren.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Donley, and her brother, Dennis Donley.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 12-1:45 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be at Legg Cemetery at a later date. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of North Alabama for their compassionate care and dedication during Marilyn's final days. In lieu of flowers, they kindly request that donations be made in Marilyn's memory to your preferred animal shelter.
