Jason "Geezer" McGee, 46, of Florence, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. Jason was a 1995 graduate of Lauderdale County High School. He attended college at Wallace State, the University of North Alabama and finished with his Masters from West Alabama. Jason will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his smile that lit up the entire room and devotion to his role as the athletic trainer for Lauderdale County High School, Brooks High School, Rogers High School and, for the last 16 years, Sheffield High School. He loved all of his players, who knew his as "Geezer", no matter where they were from, and his players adored him. Jason was such a light to all who knew him. He was a member of Atlas Church of Christ.

Visitation for Jason will be held Sunday, November 12th from 12-2p.m. in the Larry Sinyard Gymnasium at Lauderdale County High School. The funeral service will follow. Burial will be held in Civitan Cemetery. Miles Stutts will be officiating. A host of close friends will be pallbearers.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Joy McGee; grandparents, Andrew and Reba McGee, Paul and Evelyn Griffin. He is survived by his father, Robert (Janeen) McGee; sister, Misty Corsbie; nieces, Katie and Kendra Gillott; and a host of friends who loved him.
