Athens - Helen McGuffey, age 92 of Athens (formerly of Scottsboro) passed away Saturday. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jody Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, James Edward McGuffey, William Shelley (Laurie) McGuffey, and Albert Mitchell (Peggy) McGuffey; and grandchildren, Allison Leighann McGuffey, William Cochran (Danna) McGuffey, Lauren Elizabeth McGuffey, Grant Evans McGuffey, and Edward Ford McGuffey.
