Gary Wade Martin
Gary Wade Martin, 61, of Elkmont, Alabama, died Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in Huntsville, Alabama.
He was born April 25, 1958, in Limestone County, Alabama, to Wade and Bertie Martin.
Gary was a member of First Baptist Church of Ardmore. He worshipped at Friendship United Methodist Church with his wife, LouElla, the past five years.
Gary was a hard worker. He retired from General Motors/Delphi after 33 years of service. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle, camping, being outside and spending time with his family and friends. Gary loved his children, grandchildren and wife.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wade Martin; his wife and the mother of his children, Betty Martin; and his granddaughter, Gracie Bett Martin.
Gary is survived by his mom, Bertie Martin of Athens, Alabama; wife, LouElla Spahn Martin of Elkmont, Alabama; sons, Lance (Nicole) Martin of Elkmont, Alabama, and Chad (Morgan) Martin of Elkmont, Alabama; daughter, Tiffany (Dustin) Wilbourn of Elkmont, Alabama; grandchildren, Dawson and Dax Wilbourn and Paislee and Wydner Martin; brothers, Terry (Mickie) Martin of Elkmont, Alabama, and Phillip (Mary) Martin of Athens, Alabama; sister, Joan (Virgil) Murphy of Elkmont, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will have a private family service with Bro. Brian Murphy and Bro. Tony Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Bottoms Cemetery.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Martin, Cody Martin, Neil Martin, Dustin Wilbourn, Lance Martin, Chad Martin, Phillip Martin and Terry Martin.
