Jacksonville, Florida - Donna Jean Carpenter, 63, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Saturday, May 3rd, 2025. She was born on September 19th, 1961 in Athens, AL to Abrom and Barbara (Battles) Carpenter.

Donna graduated from Clements High School in 1980 and upon graduation entered the U.S. Navy. After her service in the Navy ended, Donna began working in the banking industry as a loan underwriter until her death.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kelly Dalvine and Ashley Dalvine both of Jacksonville, FL. Her brothers, Randy Carpenter (Lynne) of the Villages, FL and Barry Carpenter (Tammy) of Huntsville, AL., and her sister Christie Scholl (Ron) of Athens, AL.

Donna is also survived by her aunt and uncle, Janet and Tommy Davenport of Colbert, AL and aunt Lona Fay Jackson of Athens, AL. Donna has many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews in Alabama as well.

Donna was the loving grandmother and great-grandmother to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was the love and care she was able to provide to them.

Although Donna lived most of her adult life in Florida, she greatly loved her Alabama family and visited them in the north Alabama area whenever she was able.

Cremation services were performed per Donna's wishes.
