Elkmont, AL - Chesley Ross Cook, 48 of Elkmont passed away Saturday at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Cook was born December 8, 1976 in Jackson County, Alabama, he was of the Baptist faith and employed by TVA at Brownsferry Nuclear Plant.
Survivors include his wife, Wendi Cook of Elkmont; father, Pat Cook of Scottsboro, Alabama; son, Chase Cook of Elkmont; sister, Stephanie Cook Jones of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister-in-law, Amy Whitt of Athens; nephew, Trent Jones of Virginia Beach, Virginia; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Cook; grandparents, Walter and Evelyn Cook and O.A. and Doris Hicks; mother-in-law, Cliffie Whitt and father-in-law, Clayton Whitt.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home, Athens. A memorial graveside service will be later at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro. Memorial donations can be made to The American Cancer Society.
