Spokane, WA - Carol Ann Grumblatt Brewer, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on Oct. 11, 2025, at the age of 82. Born Feb.24, 1943 to Carl and Doris Grumblatt in Erie, Pa.
As a young child she moved with her parents to Tuscumbia, AL. Graduated from Deshler High School. Went to work at South Central Bell where she retired after 30 years. She settled in East Limestone community where she volunteered with United Way and Limestone County Churches Involved in Athens, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Carl Grumblatt Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Sally Hand (Edmund) Spokane WA, a grand-daughter Erin Hand Tacoma WA, a sister Jeanne Brown Athens AL and several nieces and nephews. She had recently moved to live with her daughter in Spokane WA.
She was a devoted Catholic, a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church Athens AL.
She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Holy Cross Cemetery in Tuscumbia AL. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local hospice organization in her name would be appreciated.
