Betty Jean Perry
Betty Jean Perry, 78, of Athens, died Monday, June 10, 2019, at her residence.
Mrs. Perry was born Oct. 13, 1940, in Pikeville, Tennessee. She was a member of Tanner Church of Christ and a retired teacher at Tanner High School. Special thanks to Southern Care Hospice.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel, with Robert Hall and Charles Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Travis Fletcher, Kevin McMullins, Jackson McKee, Brian McKee, Jacob Greene, Brad Greene, Kurt Bates and Tommy White.
Elders and deacons at Tanner Church of Christ will be honorary pallbearers. Survivors include her mother, Hazel Allison of Athens; daughters, Alison (Tim) Wooten of Athens and Alyssa (Scott) Sandberg of Athens; grandchildren, Megan McLemore, Lauren McKleroy and Hallie Sandberg; great-grandchildren, Bryson Lovell and Kinsley McLemore; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Hugh Allison; husband, John Wade Perry; and daughter, Beth Ann Perry.
Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
