Richard "Dick" Di Lullo, 78, of Athens, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 22, 2017.
He is preceded in death by parents Stanley and Emma Di Lullo and brother Stanley Di Lullo. He is survived by brothers Mike Di Lullo and Bobby (Ginny) Di Lullo; many nieces and nephews; loving wife of 45 years, Betty Di Lullo; daughters Dawn (Tim) Adams and Noel Di Lullo; son Dean (Trish) Di Lullo; grandchildren Taylor, Ashton, Clayton, Cody (Daniel), Halli, Logan and Clay; and great-grandchildren Addison and Blakely.
Dick was from Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he joined the military. He served four years with the U.S. Marine Corps and 25 years with the U.S. Army, including three tours in Vietnam. He later retired as a Major in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed his retirement, living in Athens, playing golf and being near his children. He was a member of Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Rogersville.
A gathering of friends and family will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 5400 Highway 101, Rogersville, with Spry Funeral Home assisting.
