Richard Woodrow Baldwin Mr. Richard Woodrow Baldwin, 75, of Athens, died Saturday, December 29, 2018, in Red Bay.
Mr. Baldwin was born March 23, 1943, in Limestone County to Johnnie and Westella Baldwin. He was a member of Round Island Baptist Church; retired from Solutia, Decatur; a school bus driver for Tanner High School; member of the Tanner Volunteer Fire Department; a baseball coach; and president of the Point Hunting Club.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Green officiating. Burial will be in the Ripley Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include wife, Sherry Baldwin of Athens; sons, Ricky Baldwin of Tanner and Justin Baldwin of Argo; daughter, Michelle Baldwin Baugher of Lester; stepsons, Chris Smith of Athens and Jeffery Pack of Elkmont; adopted children, Brianna P. Baldwin, D.J. P. Baldwin and Dylan P. Baldwin; brothers, Joe Baldwin of Athens and David Baldwin of Athens; sisters, Joyce Hall of Athens, Louise Smith of Athens, and Peggy Baker of Athens; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

I didn’t know mr Baldwin personally but my husband Kenneth worked with him at solutia and he spoke of him often. Kenneth always had kind things to say about Richard. I offer my deepest sympathy to his family and will pray for your comfort.
