Phillip Lloyd Jennings, 83, of Athens, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Jennings was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to Malcolm Patterson Jennings and Sue Troglen.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 9, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Brother George Whitten officiating. Visitation will be noon to 1:45 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Jennings retired after 43 years from LTV Steel Corp. in Chicago, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Jennings; father and mother, Malcolm Jennings and Sue Troglen.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Jennings; three sons, Paul Jennings and wife Kim, Steve Jennings, and John Jennings and wife Barb; stepdaughter, Diane McMahan and husband Robert; stepson, Gerald Pruitt and wife Sylvia; grandchildren, Matthew Jennings and Cynthia Jennings; stepgrandchildren, Michael and Peyton Pruitt, and Heath Norwood and wife April; half-brother, David Troglen and wife Wanda; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Paul Jennings, Steve Jennings, John Jennings, Heath Norwood, Dan White and David Troglen.
