Marylyn Joyce Miller Loggins

Marylyn Joyce Miller Loggins passed away September 30, 2017, in Albertville, Alabama. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at McConnell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at McConnell Funeral Home with Brother Perry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Athens City Cemetery.
Joyce was born in Athens to Riley and Mary Eunice (Todd) Miller on January 6, 1936. She attended Athens High School. She went on to earn cosmetology training at Johnson's Beauty Academy in Huntsville. She was a gifted seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed movies, caring for her two Yorkies, Sissy and Sadie, and spending time with her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Riley and Mary, brother Billy Miller and the father to her children, Billy Jack Loggins.
Joyce is survived by her children: Debra (Greg) Schroeder of Madison; Patty (Tony) Marshall of New Market; Linda (Mike) Keller of New Hope; Angie (Rodney) Collins of Albertville; Kimberly (David) Stamm of New Market; and Steve (Miranda) Loggins of Chickamauga, Georgia.
Joyce, lovingly called Day Day, is also survived by her grandchildren: Joy (Keith) Watson of Huntsville; Tracey (Robert) Green of Huntsville; Brooks (Samantha) Loggins of Madison; Forrest (Emily) Williams of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Amber (Perry) Wright of Scottsboro; Lauren (Walter) Swords of Hartsville, Tennessee; Jacob Collins of Albertville; Heather Hill of New Hope; Brandy Hill of New Market; Todd Loggins of Chickamauga, Georgia; and Alyssa Loggins of Chickamauga, Georgia.
Great-grandchildren include Grayson, Seth, John Robert, Lily Grace, Amos, Makayla, Trinity, Ty, Maelee and Avie.
The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to Joyce's daughter Angie, who selflessly took care of our mother, and Amedisys Hospice of Albertville for their support in her final days.
