Lillith Starkey "Star" Plunk Weed passed away on Jan. 21, 2017, at her home in Savannah, Georgia.
She was born Feb. 13, 1951, at Powers Hospital in Athens, Alabama, to Dr. Leonard and Jane Plunk. She was a graduate of Athens State University, Georgia Southern University and Armstrong State University with degrees in speech therapy, special education and counseling. She was a middle school counselor for 30 years in Savannah.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur, and daughters Courtney and Maury and grandson Josh; brothers John Plunk of Athens, Alabama, and Joe Wade Plunk of Phoenix, Arizona.
The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at their home at 518 Victory Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31405.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at Bonaventure Cemetery.
