Karen Sue Reeder
Karen Sue Reeder of Mustang, OK passed away Monday, March 13, 2017, at the age of 63.
Karen was born August 12, 1953, to Marion and Lyvonne Presswood in Texarkana, TX. She graduated from Texarkana High School in 1971 and studied Nursing in college.
After a short period of time working in the nursing field, she started working for the Federal Government at Red River Army Depot (Texarkana) in 1979, GSA in Fort Worth, TX in 1990, before retiring from her final location, the FAA here locally in 2012.
After 30+ years of federal service, she and her husband invested time in their 3 passions; Southern Baptist Disaster Relief assistance work, the babies (as she called them "her babies") of the First Baptist Mustang Sunday School Crawler class, and many, many, many activities she did with her six grandchildren.
Karen was married to her best friend Jim on July 28, 1984. She is survived by her husband, Jim Reeder; two daughters Lori Cowling and husband Adrian, Erin Williams and husband Jason; six grandchildren, Natalie, Kacy, Tinsley, Emma, Jaydon, and Jamison; one sister Susan Beasley and niece Michelle Wilbourn; brother-in- law Johnny Cobb and niece and nephew Heather Gammill and Jared Cobb. Additional brother-in- laws include Tom Reeder and wife Linda; and Gary Reeder and wife Penny.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; sister Lynne Cobb; and son Timothy Nichols.
