Jimmy Don Tunstill, 72, of Athens, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Tunstill was born June 17, 1945, in Limestone County, Alabama, to Theo Tunstill and Imo Gene Stovall Tunstill.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with John Gibson and Ray Hill officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Imo Gene Tunstill; and one sister, Judy Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Tunstill of Athens; two sons, Don Tunstill and wife Mitzy of Decatur and Daren Tunstill and wife Benita of Athens; one granddaughter, Avery Lorick and husband Ethan of Pontotoc, Mississippi; one brother, Al Tunstill of Athens; one sister, Nancy Norman of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Reed Tunstill, Darrell Norman, Ryan Tunstill, Daniel Bates, Danny Bates, George Sandlin, Tim Pepper and Brian Willis.
James Bailey and Jimbo Colwell will be honorary pallbearers.
