Jared Cecil Pepper, age 31 of Athens, Alabama passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital. Jarred was born on March 2, 1986 in Decatur, Alabama to Wade and Debra Devaney Pepper.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Marvelee Devaney, and Mason Pepper.
Jared is survived by his mother and father, Debra and Wade Pepper of Athens; one son, Anderson Pepper; one brother, Grant Pepper of Athens; grandmother, Marjorie Pepper of Athens, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jared was a member of Jones Road Church of Christ. A 2004 graduate of East Limestone High School; Jared then graduated from Calhoun Community College and attended Athens State University. He was a farmer, avid outdoorsman, deer hunter, a big Alabama fan, and great father to his son, Anderson.
Services for Jared will be Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00AM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with John Gibson and Everett Conn officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Durham, Nathan Pepper, Heath Kinzer, Lance Sims, Greg Provence, and Chase Barbrey.
