Elizabeth "Beth" Doucette, died in her home in Athens on Saturday, February 3, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Beth was born December 20, 1960, in Birmingham to parents Thomas and Betty Atwood, who preceded her in death.
Services for Beth will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m.
Beth is survived by five older brothers, Jim, Mike, David, Jay, and Buddy; three children, Justin, Makenze and Lacee; one granddaughter, Kaygen Hipp; her husband, Lynn Moran; and several nieces and nephews.
Beth lived for 57 years and enjoyed every day of her short life. She devoted her life to educating others, with hopes of being a bright light in a child's life. She loved teaching children to read and found her happiness in her classroom.
Beth was always an early riser, and when her feet hit the ground, you had better watch out. She loved being outside in her flower beds and was always finding an excuse to entertain at the home she and Lynn shared. Beth had a love for her children that was truly unwavering. More than anything else, she loved spending time with them.
Beth led a successful career at TVA, where she was a project manager for eight years. She thrived in the environment there and touched many lives along the way. She was the most kind-hearted woman and truly had a love for the life she had been given.
