Dorothy Ann Lovett, age 66, of Athens, AL died Thursday, February 2, 2017. Born January 27, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Alberta Gardner Fletcher and James Marvin Bush, Jr.
Dorothy was a former administrator and teacher, retiring after 38 years in the field of education. She had a beautiful voice and loved to share her talent with all she came in contact with.
Survivors include: two sons, George Lovett and Prelvis Jones; daughter, Shalana Lovett; five Grandchildren, Mecca Lovett, Temple-Ann Lovett, Aniyah Bailey, Zyllah Lovett and A'Donis Bone; two brothers, Willie Fletcher and Thomas Fletcher; two sisters, Barbara Matthews and Brenda Fletcher; several nieces and nephews.
The Lovett Family will receive guests from 5 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, February 7th at the Royal Funeral Home-Mason Chapel in Athens, AL.
Funeral service will be 12 noon, Wednesday, February 8th at the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church (Harvest, AL) with Pastor Larry Lockett officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Memorial Gardens. Ms. Lovett will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
