Donald Lee Osborne Donald Lee Osborne, 84, of Athens, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Athens Bible School (lie in state from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Athens Bible School), with Wayne Kuydendall, Everette Conn, Burt Wilson and Randy Adams officiating. Burial in Athens City Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are David Osborne, Nash Osborne, Dustin Hall, Jonathan Holland, Chris Wilbanks, Abby Osborne, Wes Riley, Jennifer Hall and Rebecca Holland. Honorary pallbearers are Edsel Bates, Phillip Pitman, Randy Easter, Dr. Cassidy Koonce, Dr. Ernie Hendrix, Joe Klevorn, Bobby Turner and Bill Giguere.
Mr. Osborne was born Feb. 9, 1934, in Anniston, Alabama. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. He was a retired educator from the Limestone County Board of Education, a longtime gospel preacher and a 30-year member of North Alabama Mental Health Board.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, June Osborne of Athens, Alabama; son, David Osborne and wife, Gail, of Trussville, Alabama; daughter, Jill Adams and husband, Randy, of Athens; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dustin) Hall of Athens, Rebecca (Jonathan) Holland of Athens, Nash Osborne of Vestavia, Alabama, Abby Osborne of Manhattan, New York; great-grandchildren, Piper Hall, Annie Kate Hall and Graham Hall; brother-in-law, Joe Klevorn of Athens; and nephew, Jeff Klevorn of Athens.
Preceded in death by parents, Tommy and Merle Osborne; sister, Janice Klevorn; and infant great-grandson, Carl Asher Hall.
Memorials may be made to Mental Health Center of North Alabama or Athens Bible School.

We came to know and love Don and his family during the wonderful years we spent in Athens when I taught at Athens Bible School and preached for the Wooley Springs church of Christ. We treasure these precious memories and pray God to bless and comfort all the Osborne family.

I was so fortunate to get to know Mr. Don & Ms. June as volunteers through Hospice of Limestone County.. Their gifts of time and love were very valuable to many patients and their families. My condolences to Ms. June and her family.

I am so sorry to hear of Bro. Osborne's passing. My memories of him go back to my youth. I will always appreciate his participation in my mama's and daddy's funerals. They were such an integral part of Market Street Church. My prayers and condolences go out to the family of this good man.
