Darcus "Dot" Roberts, 86, of Athens died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Limestone Health Facility.
Mrs. Roberts was born May 2, 1930, in Limestone County. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens, a homemaker, employee at Earl King's Department Store and a absentee-box poll worker.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home's chapel with Larry Hicks and Joe Teal officiating. Visitation is 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Burial will be in Sardis Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jay Naves, Kevin Patterson, Don Sloan, Larry Cross, Jeff Mooneyham, Jerry Yarbrough, Mike Pressnell and Gerald Smith.
Survivors include daughters, Connie Patterson, Rogersville, Sharon Reynolds, Huntsville, Linda Woods, Rogersville and Jo Ann Bauer, Athens; brothers, James Pressnell, Fayetteville, Tennessee, Charles Pressnell, Decatur and Glenn Pressnell, Athens; sister, Jessie Mae Smith, Athens; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, David Gilbert Roberts; son, David Kenneth Roberts; and grandson, Robert Hunter Bauer.
Memorials may be made to Clearview Cancer Institute.
