Connie R. Jernigan, 79, of Athens, died Wednesday at Huntsville Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Dan Binkley officiating. Burial at Ripley Cemetery. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jernigan was born February 23, 1938, in Georgia. She was a member of Carriger Church of Christ in Athens, and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include husband, James Lewis (Bud Ed) Jernigan of Athens; children, Penny Arlene Romine Clavell and husband Rolando of Collinsville, IL, Randall Wayde Romine and wife Pixie of Milton, FL, Connie Gail Romine of Athens, James Dale Romine and wife Tellie of Rogersville, James Allen Jernigan and wife Lissa of Athens, Paula Gail Stelle and husband James of Danville; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Winton and husband Jerry of Powder Springs, GA, and Ida Frech and husband Gus of Dallas, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Ivie and Annie Laura Conaway; brothers, Louis C. Conaway and Jackie Norman.
