Bobbie Ruth (Lamb) Webster, 80, of Athens, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Spry Funeral Home, with C. W. Kennedy officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Webster was born March 29, 1937, in Hardin County Tennessee. She was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church in Athens. She was retired from Athens Middle School and formerly employed by P.R. Mallory/Aerovox for 30 years. She was an avid gardener and reader and enjoyed breakfast with the Hardee's Bunch.
Pallbearers will be Jason McBay, Skyler Hays, Landon Hays, Collin Hays, Jason Anderson and David Elmore.
J.T. Carter and Wolly Gordon will be honorary pallbearers.
Survivors include Vickie (Johnny) Hays and Janie (Anthony) McBay, both of Athens; grandchildren, Skyler (Haley) Hays, Landon (Haley) Hays, Collin (Shaina) Hays, Jason (Traci) McBay, Kelly (Jason) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Levi Hays, Sadie Grace Hays, Barron Hays, Bristol Hays, Murphy Jane Hays, Brynlee McBay, Ellison McBay, Harlin McBay and Kalyn Anderson; sister, Rose Griffin, Lewisburg, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Alva and Bessie Johnson and sister Peggy Reyer.
