Billy Wayne Daly, 81, of Ardmore, Alabama, died Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama. He was born Monday, April 26, 1937, in Elkmont, Alabama, to Fred Daly and May Gowen.
He lived in the Ardmore area all his life. He was a member of the Ardmore United Methodist Church and loved his church family. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and coon hunting. He loved doing things with his veteran buddies and was an avid Alabama football fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 46 years, Doris Daly; four brothers, Foster, Lloyd, Robert and Woodrow Daly; sisters, Sarah Wales, Hellon Karanza and Lois Bonds.
He is survived by his daughter, Jan (Blake) Dorning, Huntsville, Alabama; brothers, Louie Daly, Ardmore, Alabama, and Fred Daly Jr., Meridianville, Alabama; grandchildren, Whitney Dorning, Austin Dorning and Meghin (Matt) Elliff; special friends,
Pat Bryant and Betty McNeese, both of Ardmore; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Ardmore United Methodist Church, Ardmore, Tennessee, with the Rev. Debbie Eubanks and Blake Dorning officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, Alabama.
Donations may be made to Hasting Cemetery or Ardmore United Methodist Church.
