Billie Sue graduated from Athens Bible School in 1959 and married Roger Whitt on September 30, 1961. She worked as a teacher's aide at Piney Chapel from 1977-1982 and then she began working in the Child Nutrition Dept. for the Limestone County Board of Education in 1982. She retired from this position in March 2003. She kept her precious great-grandson, Jordan, for the past two years and she dearly loved being able to keep Jordan during this time and Jordan loved spending this special time with Roger and Sue, as she is known by all who love her so dearly.
Sue was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the most kind, caring, and compassionate person to every one who knew her. She spent her life doing for others and she never put herself first. Sue was known for being one of the most wonderful cooks in this area. If you knew Billie Sue, then you have probably eaten one of her delicious meals or one of her amazing desserts. She loved to cook for others, especially for her family. She cooked for them every Sunday and it was the highlight of their week. Sue's family is as close as any family could possibly be and it is all attributed to this amazing woman. She made sure her family was always taken care of and they had everything they needed. Sue loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world. She was so proud of each one of them and she beamed with pride when she talked about each of them. Sue was loved by so many and she is going to be missed so much each day, but her wonderful memories will forever be in our hearts.
Billie Sue was currently a member of Central Church of Christ; however, she was a member of Ephesus Church of Christ for over 50 years before attending Central.
Pallbearers will be Zach Whitt, Landon Stephens, Blake Whitt, Hayden Stephens, Jake Moran and Jeff Wales.
