Anita Louise Kulisek, 85, of Athens, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 1, 2018, at her home.
Anita was born August 16, 1932, in Newburgh, New York, to Tom and Alice McGrath. She married the love of her life, Edward F. "Ed" Kulisek, Sr., on May 1, 1954, and lived a wonderful life with him until his death in 1981.
Anita will be remembered for her laughter, compassion and love to everyone she met. Her love for the Lord was immeasurable, and her faith was a testimony to all that knew her. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Nurse's Aid for Montgomery Nursing Home in Montgomery, New York. She loved people, and everyone felt her love.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Cassandra Kulisek; and brothers, Tom and David McGrath. Survivors include Anita's two sons, Edward F. Kulisek, Jr., and wife Barbara, of Bluffton, South Carolina; John T. Kulisek and wife Cynthia of Lester; daughter, Karen A. Robertson and husband Donald, of Elkmont; grandchildren, John T. Kulisek, Jr., of Oregon, Melissa Kulisek Murray and husband Stephen of Beaufort, South Carolina, Sarah Robertson of Charleston, South Carolina, Donald Robertson, Jr., of Elkmont and Jeremy T. Kulisek of Lester; and great-grandchildren, Ashton Kulisek of Athens, Alexandra Kulisek of Oregon and Genevieve and Josephine Murray of Beaufort, South Carolina. Anita's siblings included Thelma Dew of Tennessee, Rose Culbert of Virginia, Ruth Nedwetzky of Florida, George McGrath of New York and John McGrath of Florida.
Arrangements are being made by Spry Funeral Home in Athens. Anita and her family would like to thank everyone with Hospice of Limestone County for such attentive care, love and compassion shown to her during her illness. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Limestone County, 405 S. Marion Street, Athens, Alabama 35611. Funeral will follow at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, New York.
